RISING FROM THE TSUNAMI | IDFA

On 11 March, 2011, a tsunami of unprecedented magnitude struck the Japanese coast of Tohoku, leaving 20,000 dead. Five years later, the wild winds of madness are still blowing through the ravaged land. From the depths of the sea, the dead come back to haunt the living. A giant sea wall is being erected as a shield against the great wave. This landscape under reconstruction has become a territory of the in-between, where the living and the dead are watching each other and contemplating how they
might be connected.
